Tigerstyle released Mystics, Martyrs and Maharajas

Tigerstyle's long waited full lenght dropped earlier this month. It's available on digital download on their webstire : www.nachural.co.uk. 17 tracks, pretty much all new material except a couple songs. You may have already heard Sinden's Balle!Shava! remix on the Masala radio show or elsewhere before, but there is way more than 130bpm electro here. It's a pretty diverse range of beats and production instead. Vybz Kartel is definitly a plus for one of the best track of the album. You'll find a track with a spanish mc and a bhangra beat structered as a reggaeton beat. There's a lot of r'n'b/garage female singing on the album that I dislike but I guess that's what's up when you live in the UK and want to do music for clubs. But there's also some serious dancefloor oriented music. Instead of Sinden's remix, I would rather go with that track which should definitly get people's reactions with it's heavy bassy kick drum and happy arrangements.

Download Tigerstyle - Bol!Bol!Bol! (192k)

Also download Tigerstyle's remix of Labh Janjua's Billo Tere Nakreh thanks to Palms Out Sounds. Really good remix! And for those of you who want more cutting edge indian urban music, I would suggest to check out the friction radio show on BBC; always some good stuff. Oh and did I mention bhangra bassline? More bhangra coming up, stay tune.

Download Panjabi MC - Panjabi Soldiers (A-Team)

Download Ms Scandalous - Kini Soni

A suivre...

Khiasma mix @ Bounce Le Gros

Last saturday, Ghislain Poirier organised the last edition of his Bounce Le Gros nights. During the last two years, Ghislain offered us one of the best night in Montreal, with great guests everytime. He's currently finishing his album to be released in the fall on Ninja Tune. I had the honor to open that final edition of a now legendary party and here's a part of my mix. It's not the most well mixed 70min you've ever hear, but there's no computer edit, and I wanted to share it first for the selection.

Bhangra New Stuff

If kuduro thirst for new stuff seems hard to quench like Guillaume exposed in the last post, bhangra is well alive no matter what's going on the international hipster scene.

Two labels are taking care of things right now, Vip and Bazaar Records.

Just last week, Vip has released 3 albums, one of them being Blitzkrieg "The Rhyme Book", debut from an Indian MC who have collaborated with Tigerstyle, Bikram Singh and Punjabi Hit Squad. Check the promo video >>>

On the latest CISM show I played two tracks from recent Vip releases, Jags Klimax and Specialist & Tru-Skool. Jags Klimax is one of UK top bhangra DJ/Producer and his original production style have make lots of artists from around the world asked him for remix. The highlight on "The Album" is the track "Heer" featuring the Punjabi folkstress Sarbjit Kaur>>>

mp3: Jags Limax - Heer ft. Sarbjit Kaur (direct link)

"Repazent" from the duo Specialist & Tru-Skool was very awaited after their debut "Word is Born". In fact it's a very good Western influence album, here's the track with the James Brown sample >>>

mp3: Specialist & Tru-Skool - Saukhi Ni Kammai (direct link)

Tru-Skool is also the producer behind the first hyped Bazaar records release "Raw as Folk". The album features Bazaar own vocalists, Kaka Bhaniawala, Kulwinder Johal, Gurbhej Brar and Dippa Dosanjh (Satrang), all together on the massive "Raw as Folk Bolian" >>>

Apart of those two label releases, one discovery I made is Dalvinder Singh. I very like songs I hearded from his new album "Udeeka". Here's the one I played in last radio show>>>

mp3: Dalvinder Singh - Yaar Da Viah (direct link)

Dalvinder Singh MySpace

You can find samples and videos of all those artists on the labels site and buy the albums from there or on desitunes4u.com
