Coupé Décalé documentary

I've found this footage of Coupé Décalé documentary. We learn about were it from, how in Cote D'Ivoire, the Congolese music was almost the only music playing. We learn that it was coming from the mid 90's from ivoirians living in europe essentialy that want to bring something new in the homeland and to change the bad mood cause by the crisis.

Coupé décalé is base on the bling bling and for the people of the country, it was somehow the first time for them to see other ivoirians having a big ego and throwing money.

Dernièrement, Vamanos nous apprenait la sortie prochaine d'un documentaire sur le Coupé-Décalé tourné à Abidjan, Paris, Londres, Accra et Lome. Produit par F3K Films en collaboration avec FITW, le doc paraîtra sur DVD dans 3 mois. En attendant, on peut regarder le trailer et saliver...
