2008 Carnival on his way at Masala !

Carnival 2008 is comin' fast !!! An early one this year, from february 1st to 5th in Rio, parade of the bands on feb. 4th and 5th in Trinidad. We'll keep you update of what's going on on the blog and the radio show as well. Here's my 3 favorite soca songs right now:

I like this 'Right Dey' song, a good one to put you in the carnival mood ! Some are already predicting the victory of Kes... Destra is always a serious player, her last year hit 'I Dare You' was playing over and over in TnT and she already has 2 songs on this year chart (with 'High' and 'Hooked'). Machel is last year king, with a massive victory over Shurwayne Winchester with 'Jumbie'. I'm pretty excited to see how he will push the genre this year, 'Whining Season' is slow but good enough to start the party and clearly evocative about what carnival is all about...
